For millions of folks – young or young at heart, amusement parks’ thrilling roller coaster rides satisfy something in their souls. The adrenaline rush and the release of endorphins can improve mood and energy even on an exhausting day. It’s no wonder that amusement parks began in the 19th century as picnic grounds for working men to relax after work.

Ready to relax and have an adventurous vacation at one of the world’s best amusement parks? A trippy user, Noura F from Jeddah loved her experience in Switzerland and wanted to know where to go next. Here’s her question:
Best amusement parks around the world?
What are the best amusement parks or places for adventure around the world? During my honeymoon, I enjoyed a day at Charmey Adventures in Switzerland! What about you?

Here’s a taste of adventure in 9 of the best in the world:

1. Disney World Orlando

The mecca of adventure parks, Disney World Orlando, has four theme parks and two water parks. There’s a ride for everyone, even for visitors suffering from roller coaster phobia. Pick one theme park or choose all the theme parks – you’ll find the Disney magic at least in one of the parks.

Mags on the Move, a Trippy user from Orlando said:

I'm a little biased because I used to work there, but the Disney parks really are the best. I've been to Walt Disney World, Disneyland Park and Disneyland Paris and all are amazing and unique in their own ways.

Disney World draws in droves of tourists from around the world. Magic Kingdom had 20.4 million in 2016 according to OrlandoSentinel.com. The city according to Trippy user, Steve Jabs, a local:
Orlando over the last five years has really begun to come into its own. A city that once really only had the Orlando Magic (NBA Team) now is home to an ECHL Hockey Team (Orlando Solar Bears) and an MLS team (Orlando City). We now sport a new performing arts space, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

All of these things have spawned a slew of new bars, restaurants and hangout spots. What was mostly a bunch of (in my opinion) dried up bars, boring restaurants, and dated clubs has made way for craft-beer bars (tap and grind, Frank & Steins), awesomely themed drinking spots (Hanson's Shoe Repair, Sideshow) and delicious restaurants (The Rusty Spoon, Harry Buffalo).

That’s good news for those looking for restaurants and hangout spots outside the theme parks.

2. Beto Carrero World, Brazil

Beto Carrero World in Penha Santa Catarina, southern Brazil is the biggest and considered one of the best amusement parks in South America. Suitable for kids of all ages and for adults, there are over 100 attractions and entertainment centers in eight themed zones.

A Big Tower é um prato cheio para quem ama brinquedos radicais! Lá de cima você ainda pode apreciar as belas paisagens e praias de Penha. Vamos? 😎🌞🏖 #BigTower #BetoCarrero #Diversão #BetoCarreroWorld pic.twitter.com/kFhz8rCCEL

The theme park’s top attractions are Castelo das Nacoes (a castle), visitor train, Freefall, Firewhip, an 80-feet Ferris wheel, Madagascar Circus Show and a zoo with about 700 animals.

3. Europa-Park, Germany

Located in the border triangle of Germany, France, and Switzerland, Europa-Park is the largest park in Germany. It is easily accessible by train, bus and through the motorway A5.

Europa-Park has 100 rides and 15 European themed areas that cater to families, adults and roller coaster junkies. The park is expanding to include a new water park, due to open in 2018. Currently, visitors can explore the park’s European themed areas representing Germany, England, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland (Children’s World), The Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Luxemburg, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Scandinavia, and Spain.

It’s a fantastic destination for history buffs and those who enjoy 3D and 4D rides.

7. Cedar Point, Ohio

If you like roller coasters than there is no better park in the world than Cedar Point. This Sandusky, OH, USA, the park has been a destination for roller coaster enthusiasts for years. There are something like 16 different coasters on the property. There is also a water park and hotels to stay. Always a good family time.

8. Phantasialand, Germany

Trippy users Tiffany Weber and Sebnem Sayil enjoyed Phantasialand. Tiffany wrote:
I haven't been to many, but I really enjoyed Phantasialand in Germany. I like Disneyland Paris, but prefer the original Disneyland Park in California.

Phantasialand is about 12 miles (20 km) from Cologne. It’s a small park with boat rides, roller coaster rides, live shows, steam carousel, and cable car rides.
